Do it anyway… This is what I have come to know is the meaning of willingness or “fake it till you make it.”
I could write a book of excuses that keep me stuck is diseased behavior. My power of rationalization can be VERY strong…
-Im tired. Sleep is a critical part of recovery, so I’ll nap now and do it later.
-At least I’m not doing what I used to do, this isn’t THAT bad.
-I can start tomorrow. Skipping one meeting, daily reader, phone call (insert other healthy thing) won’t hurt.
-I’m fine. (OOOOoooOOoooOO)
Even at the end of a very busy day, when all I want to do is crawl in a bed with a bowl of ice cream I need to remember how far I have come, and I just can’t quit doing what works no matter what.
