This weekend had been jammed packed for me. Starting Saturday morning at 8 am till about right now (Sunday night…lying in bed…ready for some shut eye). I cannot help but be grateful for all of the wonderful blessings that are growing around me:
-Having meetings to go to and being able to be of service. I usually attend a meeting on Saturday and Sunday, and make sure they are a priority. I had to rearrange and drive a lot more to get to these meetings this weekend, but it was worth it.
-Reconnecting with old friends. Because of this program I have been able to make amends to friends (and family). I have not only repaired, but strengthened these relationships. I got to catch up with both high school and college friends, despite the pain I caused them while I was drinking. One even thanked me for calling, saying she really needed a friend and wants to plan a visit (mind you I hate the phone and reaching out…this is out of my comfort zone. However, I listened to a huntch…aka God…and called anyway).
-Unexpectingly doing more renovations than initially planned to my house. #TYG, I have been squirreling away money, and have enough time and money to do so. I used to live pay check to pay check, barely scraping by. Also my new roommate cannot move in for a few months leaving me with more time for more projects.
-The mental and physical capacity to be busy all weekend. I’ve grown out of a lot of my depressive state; however, I remember days where getting out of bed and a shower was the equivalent of climbing Mt. Everest. Just being was exhausting. My weekends consisted of sleeping till noon followed by a whole lot of nothing.
-Having a God in my life who I completely trust. I am watching a lot of wonderful things begin to unfold in my life in the most beautiful way that took YEARS of hard work. I’m starting to see God in everything I do or have done. I know this is only the beginning, and am excited for the adventure God has in store for me.
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
